While writing is solitary, publishing takes a huge group of people to make a book the best it can be. For day 4 of #18DaystoMGDebut, I’m looking at my acknowledgements for THE BOY, THE BOAT, AND THE BEAST.
I actually wrote the first draft of these long before the book was bought by Paula Wiseman Books/Simon & Schuster. I had a draft I was proud of and agents were reading it, and I was so grateful for the help I had received so far. I wrote acknowledgements for all the people who had helped me up to that point, with the hope that I could one day thank them in print.
