Welcome to the beach at Gingerbread Island, North Carolina! This is a quiet island with miles of sand for walking, fishing, and searching for beach treasures like sea glass and shark teeth. The water is warm so bring your suit if you’d like to go for a swim!
PARTY SOUNDS…
At this party, you can hear crashing waves! Cat would love to tell you what she’s learned about fishing this summer, and Chicken wants to tell you some of his favorite shark facts.
PARTY FOOD…
All of Cat’s favorites are served: her grandmother’s biscuits, scrambled egg sandwiches, waffles, pimento cheese, and HUSH PUPPIES. (Chicken will also make sure hot sauce is provided!) For the launch, a very talented young baker named Leah will be making sea turtle and shark cookies!
PARTY GAMES…
We’re enjoying the beach–favorite activities are boogie boarding, sandcastle making, and long walks by the water. After the sun goes down, we’ll have fun hunting for ghost crabs. It’s fun to chase them as they scuttle away.
PARTY FAVORS…
Everyone gets a beach treasure — you can have a piece of sea glass or a fossilized shark tooth! Both very special finds on Gingerbread Island.
